[If you don’t claim your humanity you will become a statistic.]
[Welcome]
Do YOU feel lonely? Do you lack freedom, connection, and/or purpose? Do you live in America and feel a constant dread from the current political climate that is a result from a consumerist society, an insatiable greed, and a technological rise that seems to be going faster than the emotional capacity of regular-day people? Join the club!!
Fight Club is, debatably, an American classic. The original 1996 novel was written by Chuck Palahniuk. The 1999 film was directed by David Fincher and starred Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter. Upon release of the film and novel, underground fight clubs actually began to appear all over the United States. Many modern men saw it as a calling to form a new identity; a hyper-masculine, ‘free’ being. Ironically, the film itself is a satirical criticism on both toxic masculinity and cult-like mentality. However, most men were drawn to the anti-consumerist message of the movie. A fight club is appealing because it breaks men off from the traditional, lonely lifestyle of consumerism, and creates a community. Additionally, the anarchist Project Mayhem creates a sense of purpose, giving them a “great war” to fight in. Unfortunately, Tyler Durden’s methods ultimately played into the continuous cycle created by consumerist-America because it relied on violence. This website was created as an unofficial project based on a personal interpretation of Fight Club. It is meant to give what are essentially side-quests with the goal of promoting community, anti-consumerism, and NOT toxic masculinity. Violence isn’t always necessary, and masculinity does not rely on domination, isolation, or pride. This website is to be read as a questbook, a self-exploration book, or just a fun website for those who are fans of Fight Club but aren't ready to get punched in the face.

Questions
What's the point if there's no fighting?
Technically, you can still fight, if you find another member of the club who is up for it. But isn't the true purpose of that to truly feel like yourself? To feel alive? Why don't you expand your life and try some other ways? Get to know yourself. Help some others in the process. The club is for self-discovery and community buildng. See if volunteering could also make you feel alive. Or climb a mountain.
Why... bite?
Do NOT bite people (without consent). The name is meant to trigger an aggressive approach to kindness. Bare your teeth, stand up for yourself, stand up for others.
Do I need to be a man to join?
No. People of all genders are welcome. While the original clubs were for men only, the isolation clearly didn't help them.
Is this a cult?
No. It's a fun little website on the internet that gives recommendations to people, not orders.
Do I have to become a space monkey to participate?
No. As of now, there isn't even a place to actually join, and the assignments are purely for your own brain, or just to explore.
What about the creator?
No one knows what he looks like. He has plastic surgery every three years.
